We had gone far enough together to listen easily in the quiet spaces. ~ Storypeople

We started the e-session at the tree where Jess and Jay will promise to share their lives together next May. Jay’s soothing words helped them both to ease into the session and brought forth Jess’ radiant smile and laugh. As we walked through the windy paths of the family property, it was clear how deeply embedded the family traditions are and how meaningful it will be to have the ceremony there with family and close friends nearby. I am looking forward to sharing your special day.

How many grown siblings carve the time out of their busy lives to have a family photo taken? I know that I don’t have many photos of my sister and I together. Yes, there are lots of photos of my sister, who has the pleasure of being related to me and looks suspiciously at me when I encourage her to touch up her mascara, but not very many of US together. This afternoon was filled with laughter as we wandered and photographed. And who could forget the stinky rotting fish on the rocks of lake Ontario?

“I long, as does every human being, to be at home wherever I find myself” ~ Maya Angelou

Isn’t being home what family is all about? I was honoured to photograph Jaclyn’s family recently and while the weather threatened us with rain and the park was filled with lots of people, we found some spots of solitude for capturing memories. And who doesn’t love a family that will rock climb during a photo session?? I hope that your dinner afterward was lovely!
