I am surrounded by love. All is well.
There is something intangible and awesome about seeing a family grow. I first met Amanda and Chris on their wedding day, when I helped my friend Andrew photograph their wedding. Who knew that six years later, I would get to see them all again! It was a pleasure to meet Amanda and Chris’ little one earlier this year and when I was tickled to be asked to photograph their extended family in the spring. We met at Old Fort Erie on an overcast day that was just right for comfort. It was like seeing friends again – we talked about the plans for their 40th wedding celebration BBQ that weekend and how the family enjoys coming together, though they live in different parts of the province. What I did not realize is how much Joe and Jenn’s kids have grown – they were frozen in time for me as of Chris and Amanda’s wedding day. My suggestion for bringing a snack along to help the kids with the timeline of the photos that day must have been met with a chuckle or two.
I’m sharing some of my favourites from the day, while respecting Chris and Amanda’s wish to keep their little’s image offline. Thank you for being part of my ‘why’ – to give families memories for generations.
We had a bit of fun, looks and all 🙂
